In the wake of the current Covid-19 pandemic around the world, many organisations are compelled to embrace remote working. Yet many roles, such as System Administrators, that are critical to the continued operation of organisatiosn have traditionally been on-site only. Now that SysAdmins have to work off-site, this presents a particular challenge for financial institutions and others whose work requires the utmost security. Remote work presents a clear risk of unauthorised access to data.

“During this time, we want to help organization in their effort to keep their employees and families safe. The health and well-being of our customers, partners and employees is our top priority. To achieve this, we are releasing the iSecurity Web GUI,” says Shmuel Zailer, CEO, Raz-Lee Security.

With Web GUI, IBM i SysAdmins can utilize the full depth of iSecurity components including Firewall, Audit, SIEM, Compliance, Authority-on-Demand, Anti-Virus, Anti-Ransomware, Capture, Change-Tracker, AP-Journal Journal and more. It also supports the use of Visualizer, the integrated Business Intelligence component for instantaneous analysis of security information.

The Web GUI is multilingual. It provides full operation in Spanish, German, French, Japanese and English. For tablets and smartphones, it’s easy to display or hide the navigator or data panes.

The web server is installed on a PC. Users work entirely within the browser, eliminating the risk of activating other applications or services. Since it is agent-less, it relieves users from the responsibility for installation and upgrades.

“Web is a beautiful solution. Regardless of whether you are using it from home, a remote office or from your internal network, you will be glad to use the Web GUI interface of iSecurity,” says  Zailer.

Some of the advantages of iSecurity Web GUI are:

  • Web-GUI is completely agent-less. End user is not required to install or upgrade anything.
  • Timeout controls lock the session, requiring re-identification.
  • Connections to the IBM i systems are persistent. There is no need to reconnect.
  • Auditor can use iSecurity in auditor-mode, without installing anything.
